Once a sleepy small fishing village, Hua Hin has been transformed into a royal seaside resort. The city of Hua Hin is a favorite getaway for both Bangkok residents and international travelers due to its family friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Hua Hin offers a delightful mix of city and sea with cosmopolitan ambience, lively markets, tasty street eats, long beaches and a fully functional infrastructure. Its popularity continues to grow with international travelers selecting Hua Hin as an ideal location for a peaceful, relaxing and authentic Thai cultured holiday destination.

HUA HIN BEACH

Well-known for its spectacular sunrises, Hua Hin’s main beach is a 4km white, sandy strip that fringe the Gulf of Thailand, and stretches from the town centre to Khao Takiap. As a result it is never over-crowded, and lots of family-friendly activities are on offer – the likes of pony rides, banana boat rides, or rent deckchairs and umbrellas for a few lazy hours of sun-worshipping in between testing the water with your big toe. The town’s name – meaning ‘stone head’ – is derived from the rock formations that can be seen towards the end of the main beach. Other than that it is a sandy beach with a sandy sea bed, making it ideal for swimming.

Market Village

Market Village Hua Hin is the largest shopping complex in one of Thailand’s most popular tourist destinations. The area did not have a deluxe shopping mall and entertainment complex until the opening of Market Village Hua Hin in 2006.

Market Village Hua Hin was developed to be something different especially for Hua Hin residents and visitors. It incorporates a unique concept that brings together shopping, dining, entertainment, historical and cultural components in a way that creates a venue unlike any other and can only be described as a resort style shopping mall. In a short time it has become the town’s most remarkableshopping destination and a landmark in its own right. It is a daringly innovative combination of a conventional enclosed mall and outdoor village, which together embody a tremendous amount of public space in a contrasting variety of formats.

Khao Hin Lek Fai

If you're looking for some spectacular views of Hua Hin, you need search no further than Khao Hin Lek Fai (Flintstone Hill).

It is situated about 3km west of the town centre. Follow Chomsin Road over the railway line and instead of bearing right with the road to Pala U, keep going straight ahead. It's a steep climb to the top, but worth it once you're there.

There are 3-4 lookout spots and it's a popular location with locals, especially at sundown which is arguably the best time to go. Try all the lookouts as they offer views in different directions, you can see as far south as Khao Takiab and beyond and north towards Cha-am.

Cicada Market

Cicada Market is all about art, handmade crafts and good times. With an open-air market concept, it brings together Hua Hin’s artistic talents and those who wear ‘freedom of expression’ on their sleeves. Besides the crafts market, you’ll also find an art gallery, beer garden and live music. It is located on Phetkasem Road, about halfway between Hua Hin town and Khao Takiab.

Opened every Friday, Saturday from 16:00 hrs to 23:00 hrs and Sunday 16:00 hrs to 22:00 hrs, its ambience is showered in light with sparkling decorations and is surrounded by beautiful garden with many tall trees. The entire location features the abundance of shopping outlets and eateries, as well as a venue for live performances and art exhibitions.
